There is much excitement around the release of Microsoft SharePoint 2013. The features and delivery of SharePoint 2010 has left a solid road of trust and anticipation that this new version will do the same or better.
KMWorld brought this news to our attention in their article, “SharePoint 2013 Readiness – It’s the metadata, stupid!” SharePoint 2013 extends the Managed Metadata Service (MMS) as both a key feature of social collaboration and as a visual navigator among diverse streams of content in information storefronts.
There is a more present role for metadata, tags, etc. in the 2013 version with MMS, especially where it interfaces with the social media aspect. This is a good time to look at your current metadata and clean it up before 2013 arrives. Eek! I guess in some fashion, it is already here.

Social integration is a huge improvement within SharePoint 2013. It was necessary because social media has become a huge part of business and how content gets shared today.
