Growing Amount of Data

The Intellectual Property & Science division of Thomson Reuters recently released a report affirming that global submission rates for academic journals have peaked higher than in the last six years.

Knowledgespeak brought this topic to our attention in their article, “Global submission rates for academic journals at their highest level in six years, says new report.” According to the report, not only are submission rates in general rising, but submissions from emerging nations are showing an increase as well.

This presents a challenge for publishers to keep pace with the growing amount of content. This demand is being met by process revisions and new tools.
