The 7th Information Technology for News (IPTC) Photo Metadata Conference will be held in Barcelona on June 13th in conjunction with the annual Congress of the European Picture Agency Association (CEPIC). This interesting information was found on EIN News in their article, “Image Rights – Manage Them or Lose Them.”
Speakers from all over Europe will debate changes in rights handling in the picture industry and address latest technology for machine readable rights. This year’s conference will discuss how machine readable rights may be used in the image licensing workflow and what standards might be needed. In addition, there will be a round table discussion labeled “Metadata technology – what the future might bring”.
