EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) and Gale, part of Cengage Learning, have agreed to make Gale databases and archives discoverable through EBSCO Discovery Service™ (EDS).
Digital Journal brought this information our way in their article, “New Agreement Between EBSCO Information Services and Cengage Learning Provides Gale Metadata in EBSCO Discovery Service.”
The agreement means that mutual customers will have access to all data for EBSCO and Gale for discoverability. “Gale is committed to working with the discovery services our customers rely on in order to drive usage and ensure all users benefit from the leading content within our products,” said Jim Draper, vice president and general manager, Gale. “Our goal is to make Gale content discoverable to library end users regardless of where they begin their search, and we’re excited to be working with the EBSCO Discovery Service to make that happen.”
