The Impact of Semantics on Search

The semantic web is changing. This isn’t new news. However, it seems to be making a bigger impact with its own brand of change. The blog Search Engine Watch brought us this interesting topic in their post titled, “How the Semantic Web Changes Everything for Search.”

Semantic search is not the same thing as the semantic web. Semantic search is utilizing data to locate specific information within search. This is important to remember as you place the content you want others to find. This is beyond search optimization; this is strategic placement in the correct perspective. Things like links are becoming less and less important to drive traffic.

Semantic technology requires a specialized knowledge. Access Innovations, developer of the M.A.I. machine-assisted indexing system and specializing in complex coding, tagging, and indexing, provides a range of services that deliver tag integrity.
