In an effort to reduce storage costs, the AIS Group is piloting a call recording application to ensure compliance with insurance regulations. Computer World UK brought this news to us in their article, “Meta-tagging valuable data allows AIS group to reduce storage costs.”

Like everyone else, AIS had an ever-expanding quantity of data consisting of social network profiles, GPS tracking, photographs, and claim forms. Call handlers can tag data as it is being recorded. This valuable data is archived into their Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) to be kept for the mandatory seven years. Enabling call handlers to use the application’s simultaneous metatagging was a priority.

Information being findable is the result of good indexing and comprehensive metatagging. Automated indexing is a comprehensive approach to making content findable.
