Machine learning continues to find new and different applications. Many of those include analyzing big data to find solutions and opportunities based on challenges. This interesting topic came from DATAVERSITY in their article, “Machine Learning Plays Role in Reinvention of Database Science.”
Now machine learning is playing a role in reinventing the science of databases. Deep Engine from Deep Information Sciences “is an adaptive database kernel and information orchestration system that leverages machine learning to completely transform how scalability and performance are achieved,” says chief strategy officer Chad Jones.
The company is focusing on enhancing the open source MySQL database and the Percona Server database platforms, but the principles upon which it works are translatable to – and will be translated to – unstructured data and NoSQL database systems.
Machine learning predicts and adapts based on what comes into the system, which translates to comprehensive analytics in real time.
