Access Innovations, Inc. is pleased to announce that the agenda for the inaugural Data Harmony Users Group East (DHUGEast) is posted at and that the meeting is open for registration.

To meet popular demand, Access Innovations organized DHUGEast as a supplement to the annual Data Harmony Users Group (DHUG), held each February at the company’s headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico. DHUG brings together current and prospective users of the Data Harmony software to present case studies, network, and share ideas. DHUG also includes a software features update and release of the software update follows shortly after the meeting.

DHUGEast will take place on September 26, 2016 at the ASCE Bechtel Conference Center, the event center for the American Society of Civil Engineers, in Reston, Virginia, near Dulles Airport. The agenda includes a panel discussion on “Discovery vs. Findability: Are they really different, and why should we care?” that will be moderated by Marjorie M.K. Hlava, President of Access Innovations, Inc. Panelists include Angela Cochran, Director of Journals at the American Society of Civil Engineers, Duane Degler, Principal of Design for Context, and Amanda Wilson from the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Case studies presented by current clients are a favorite of attendees at the February DHUG meetings. These presentations outline how Data Harmony is being implemented in the production pipeline at customer sites. They give DHUG and DHUGEast attendees a chance to look behind the scenes and learn from other users. At DHUGEast, case studies will be presented by Travis Hicks of ASCO, Ian Galloway of APA, Sharon Garewal of JSTOR, and Charlotte McNaughton and Xi Van Fleet of ASCE.

Attendees at DHUGEast will also participate in two breakout sessions. The first breakout session is designed to help Access Innovations’ staff and their Data Harmony users to brainstorm creative solutions to challenges the users are facing. The second breakout session will elicit suggestions for features in future versions of the software.

Access Innovations invites readers to visit their website to learn more about Data Harmony and to sign up to attend DHUGEast.
