Concept Searching recently announced the availability of conceptClassifier for Hybrid Search. This particular utility can auto-classify content in both SharePoint Online and SharePoint on-premises when it is being indexed by Microsoft Online Search. Benzinga brought this news to our attention in their article, “Concept Searching Announces Hybrid Search Capabilities.”
The resulting metadata is stored directly in the Microsoft Search index, and can significantly improve the relevancy and accuracy of Microsoft Online search results.
All Concept Searching platforms offer automatic compound term metadata generation, auto-classification, and taxonomy tools.
Martin Garland, President of Concept Searching, stated, “Enabling hybrid search was certainly our objective, but the benefits of concept-based searching and incremental migration to the cloud provide our clients with additional features that reduce costs. For example, one of our global clients has migrated to the Office 365 dedicated vNext platform, with close to twenty million documents under management. Our solution was live just two weeks after Microsoft announced the general availability of its cloud hybrid search.”
