Cyber attacks and data breaches know no prejudice. They are willing and able to inflict their chaos on any type of business. So many believe the best defense in cyber security is an aggressive offense. This intereting topic came to us from QSR Magazine in their article, “The New Cyber Strategy.”
Technological developments have created new opportunities for cyber criminals. Ten years ago, hackers had to be highly skilled with computers and had to possess expensive, specialized equipment to pull off a data breach. Today, purchasing credit-card information off the Internet is easier than ever.
Data security is as important as ever. An organization will be in a better position to respond quickly and successfully with good cyber threat intelligence. Protection, detection and response are the keys to cybersecurity, but they must be informed by intelligence about the threat.
