Held each February in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the 2017 Data Harmony Users Group (DHUG) brings together current and prospective users of the Data Harmony software to present case studies, network, and share ideas. DHUG also includes a description of updates and new features in the latest version of the software, which is rolled out shortly after the meeting.
One of the features of this year’s DHUG is taking place on Wednesday, February 8th. Travis Hicks of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) will present Leveraging Your Volunteers: SME Review the ASCO Way.
In this workshop you can learn the best way to validate a scientific taxonomy when you don’t have the necessary expertise in-house. ASCO was faced with just that question when the association began work in 2016 on a comprehensive subject thesaurus. The answer, at least to ASCO, was to harness the collective knowledge of its volunteer-member base.
DHUG registration is open to anyone who is using or is interested in using the Data Harmony software. The meeting will take place on February 7 & 8, 2017, at the Hampton Inn University/Midtown in Albuquerque, New Mexico. For new or prospective clients, free software training is offered on Monday, February 6, 2017, at Access Innovations’ office.
