Data management and artificial Intelligence become unwitting partners in a new release of the Integration-Platform-as-a-Service (iPaaS) from Informatica. eWeek brought this interesting topic to our attention in their article, “Informatica Updates iPaaS With AI Data Management Recommendations.”
The cloud data management service is designed to help companies make the transition to cloud platforms or expand their cloud implementations. This is especially true for those who have went all-in on a more traditional on-premises infrastructure. This new release uses artificial intelligence to automate integration between cloud systems and on-premises systems.
At its core, an iPaaS is a set of automated tools for connecting software applications that are deployed in different environments. iPaaS brings an organization’s unique needs together into a cloud-based toolset.
While iPaaS handles complex integration and data management on the backend, the front-end experience is tailored to the needs of end users. “We redesigned our backend for a full microservices architecture that updates quickly,” said Schwartz.
