The National Federation of Advanced Information Services (NFAIS) 2018 Humanities Roundtable is scheduled for Sunday, March 11, 2018 in Washington D.C. The theme this year will be “Meeting the Needs of Digital Humanities Librarians”
The loaded program will start with the keynote speaker, Dr. Kimberley Bugg, Chief of the Humanities and Social Sciences Division at the Library of Congress.
Roundtable participants will examine the role of the humanities librarian, the tools they need to support a robust research community, and the barriers they face. Yet another focus will be the current opportunities to advocate for the significant contributions that humanities librarians and their patron communities bring to the academic conversation and dissemination of scholarly information.
In addition, NFAIS has arranged for attendees of the Humanities Roundtable to join the National Humanities Alliance (NHA) Annual Meeting and Humanities Advocacy Day. To review the preliminary agenda and register for the NFAIS Humanities Roundtable 2018, members should click here.
