San Francisco-based Fast.ai recently released version 1.0 of “fastai,” a set of code libraries designed to radically simplify writing machine learning tasks. ZD Net brought this interesting topic to our attention in their article, “Fast.ai’s software could radically democratize AI.”

Radical and library are not two words commonly seen together, but this new product, which is built on top of Facebook’s Pytorch library, allows users to perform complicated tasks with more ease and better results. Simply put, it makes it very easy to get started with deep learning – a technique for implementing machine learning.

Working with machine learning requires a certain level of expertise, often lacking. Pytorch has a very approachable class library and allows users to work with data in a way that is easy and flexible. Fast.ai takes it to a new level of elegance and simplicity.
