The Society for Scholarly Publishing’s (SSP’s) 41st Annual Meeting is scheduled for May 29-31, 2019 in San Diego, CA. Now is your chance to help mold the program by submitting your ideas for sessions.
The meeting’s theme – “Shaping the New Status Quo: Global Perspectives in Scholarly Publishing” – will reflect on the world of publishing. Tracks will include a focus on potential major shifts to the very essence of scholarly publishing, developments in tools and technology, the challenges of a broadening international academic marketplace, and strategies for smaller publishers.
The deadline for submissions for concurrent sessions is November 16. Submissions will remain open later for pre-meeting seminars, sponsored sessions, and previews presentations.
Full details about the meeting and how to submit can be found here.
Anyone who is involved in publishing or scholarly communication in any capacity is encouraged to submit a proposal. The SSP Annual Meeting has a very wide scope, including all steps of book and journal publishing from organizations of all types, perspectives from libraries and academia, discussion of fields from medicine to humanities, and a focus on the broader effects of sharing new knowledge on the world.
