Registration is open for the annual Data Harmony Users Group (DHUG) meeting. Access Innovations, Inc., provider of Data Harmony software solutions, is proud to announce the meeting will be held February 26 and 27, 2019 at the Hotel Andaluz in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The meeting is open to current and prospective clients as well as anyone interested in hearing about the Data Harmony software and how Access Innovations’ clients are implementing semantics and controlled vocabularies within their organizations.

“The DHUG meetings are designed for our clients to learn from each other and share ideas for improving their processes,” explains Heather Kotula, VP of Marketing and Communications at Access Innovations, Inc. “We craft the agenda so that the user case studies and implementation dominate the program.  We ask our clients to be on the podium as much as possible, and we encourage meeting participants to ask questions and network.”

This year, the meeting will feature an hour-long presentation by Helen Atkins, who has implemented Data Harmony software at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and the Public Library of Science (PLOS). The agenda also includes speakers from the American Psychological Association (APA), Health Affairs, SPIE, and the American Society for Civil Engineers (ASCE). Access Innovations’ staff will present about new updates to the software and initiatives in the information industry.

One client case study that promises to be particularly noteworthy will be presented by Gerry Grenier, Senior Director of Content Management for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), entitled “Semantically Enriching IEEE Publications with Triple Stores – A Success Story”. IEEE contracted with Access Innovations in 2016 to work with MarkLogic on creating the triple store, which IEEE has recently launched.
