The Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP) 12th Annual Conference and Awards 2019 is scheduled for September 11th – 13th in Old Windsor, United Kingdom.
This conference typically attracts an audience of over 300 people from all sectors and levels of the scholarly communications industry. The three-day event provides a relaxed and friendly environment in which to share information and knowledge, learn about new initiatives, as well as engage in open discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing publishing today.
Features of this year’s event include the keynote “The Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA): Opening up the measure of success.” Professor Stephen Curry from the Imperial College will address the challenges facing scholarly publishing with regard to open access.
As well as the plenary topic “New Horizons in Open Research: Open transitions.” It is both an exciting and challenging time for scholarly publishing. It will be chaired by Alicia Wise, Director, Information Power.
