We are, like the rest of the world, monitoring the spread of COVID-19, and we are prepared to face this situation.
We are hoping for the best while preparing for the worst, so we are implementing all safety precautions and preventive measures recommended by the CDC and WHO. We also very much appreciate the message COVID-19 and Business Continuity Planning from Anthea Stratigos on the Outsell Doorway today.
We do not expect any interruption of service to our clients. We have server mirroring and redundancy, using Southwest Cyberport, Amazon Web Services, and our own server farm.
Most of our work and communication with clients is already done remotely, by phone, email, and video conference. Every member of our staff will be fully able to work remotely by the end of the day on Friday, March 13. In the event that we need to have our staff isolate, their desks will be at home instead of at our office. Because we will continue to work from other locations, we do not anticipate any delays in deliverables.
Content owners are already under siege with the changes in Open Access, Plan S, and others. The coronavirus adds another layer of uncertainty and complexity. Access Innovations, Inc. can help you weather this storm with semantic enrichment of your data through our long-established human-assisted AI, machine learning, and deep text mining tools and services.
On a lighter note, the DHUG 2020 Features Update is now available on our website.
We are looking forward to attending the 2020 SSP Annual Meeting in Boston at the end of May and seeing many of you!
In the meantime, we look forward to continuing business with you – by phone and video conference.
Sincerely,
Heather Kotula
