There is no denying that technology has penetrated every facet of our lives. But at what cost and for what specific impact? This interesting topic came to us from Bright Bulb in their article, “How Technologies Can Help The World’s Poorest.”
Today, technology surrounds us from the moment we are born. However, we do maintain some element of control as to its effects being positive or negative. Technology holds much potential to change our lives, especially in the coming years due to quickening development of artificial intelligence (AI), automation and other emerging technologies.
It seems, technology organizations are on a mission to meet the next technological milestone, whether that’s reaching the next step towards AI or proving another use for the blockchain technology. The concern is that the human side of this mission is overlooked slightly or completely. And those humans on the margins are in the greatest risk of suffering from or benefiting from technology.
