Artificial intelligence (AI) is not one technology, but rather a collection of them. Most of these technologies have immediate relevance to the healthcare field, but the specific processes and tasks they support vary widely. AI adoption has increased and is helping healthcare leaders solve some of the old and new challenges, including COVID-19 tracking and vaccines. The complexity and rise of data in healthcare means that AI will increasingly be applied within the field.
