Artificial intelligence (AI) is poised to be even more obvious and integrated into our lives than ever before. Does this make the creation of AI more profound than historical inventions, such as electricity, internet or even fire? This topic came to is from Gizmodo in their article, “Google CEO Still Insists AI Revolution Bigger Than Invention of Fire.”

Many believe that AI is still in fact, in the early stages. There is such a great potential with the emerging technology that it has not reached it’s potential just yet.

It is hard to disagree that whatever happens with AI needs to be for society’s benefit, not our personal luxury or privilege. Compare that to the invention of the atomic bomb. Could it be viewed as something for society’s benefit?

The lack of clarity enables technology pessimists to warn that AI will conquer humans, suppress individual freedom and destroy personal privacy.
