Access Innovations at the NISO Plus Conference

The NISO Plus conference is bringing people together from across the global information community to share updates and participate in conversations about our shared challenges and opportunities.

Global Conversations :: Global Connections is scheduled for February 15-17, 2022 online and Access Innovations will be a part of addressing the key issues facing our community of librarians, publishers and researchers.

The focus is on identifying concrete next steps to improve information flow and interoperability, and help solve existing and potential future problems.

On Wednesday, February 16 at 11:00 a.m., Barry Bealer, Chief Revenue Officer at Access Innovations, is participating in a panel talking about “AI and machine learning – less theory, more practice”. The panel will present a variety of practical applications for artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) in the information ecosystem, and then open the floor to discussion about future needs in the AI/ML space.

Then at 9:00 p.m. of the same day, Marjorie M. K. Hlava, President and Founder of Access Innovations, will be participating in the session “A Conversation About Semantic Censorship”. This session will cover the implications of choosing – or not choosing – taxonomy terms viewed through the lens of censorship.

NISO Plus is shaping up to be a fantastic virtual conference, and Access Innovations is proud be to a Megabyte sponsor.
