Registration closes today to join the free online event – CHORUS Forum: Improving Scholarly Publishing Metadata – on September 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. ET. So don’t wait.
This educational event will look at publishing metadata and address how funders, research administrators, librarians and publishers can work together to improve scholarly publishing metadata.
Metadata that is omitted or incorrectly entered during a scholarly publishing workflow can have serious consequences for the findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability of that item. Likewise, transmitting incorrect metadata to others through publication or other means can impact the larger ecosystem including transformative agreements and reporting.
There will be two sessions. The first is Overview of weak spots of scholarly publishing metadata and the second is Promising solutions for improving the accuracy of scholarly publishing metadata, of which our own Marjorie Hlava will be speaking.
