Digital taxonomists’ primary role is to create and maintain taxonomies and metadata systems that enable efficient information retrieval and enhance users’ experiences. They design and develop hierarchical or faceted taxonomies that categorize and organize digital content, such as documents, images, videos, or web pages. These taxonomies help users navigate and search for specific information effectively.
