The internet is a resource that is used in so many different ways, i.e. news distribution, research data, social networking, etc. For some of us, we also use it as a cookbook – or at least access to virtual cookbooks containing the recipes we seek. Google has added a new feature to its search engine that helps in that endeavor - Recipe View.

KMWorld Includes Expert System in Top 100

Expert System has been selected in the 11th annual edition of KMWorld magazine's list of "100 Companies That Matter in Knowledge Management." Their inclusions was attributed to their semantic software that searches, discovers, classifies and interprets text information.

INSPIRE Directive Gets Support From GGP Systems

INSPIRE is part of a suite of European Directives that aim to standardize and ensure access to public data across Europe. Designed to improve access to and knowledge of geographical data holdings, the INSPIRE directive requires that member states provide public access to location based data related to the environment. The latest release of GGP Systems’ desktop GIS will support that directive.

There has been lots of talk lately about stalkers locating you based on the photos you post online using your smart phone or GPS enabled mobile phone. I have received numerous emails from concerned friends and family warning me of the dire straits and danger lurking around the next photo I post of my dogs at the park. Truthfully, I deleted them all. “It’s just another urban myth,” I thought to myself.
