July 27, 2010 – Yahoo is hoping for 30% of the search market share after the Yahoo-Bing transition goes through. One factor in the equation is Bing’s set of Webmaster Tools, which has been rebuilt from the ground up. The tools are expected to help marketers get the most out of search campaigns.

This news was brought to our attention by Brafton.com in their article, “Bing releases new Webmaster Tools built ‘from the ground up”. Bing’s new Webmaster Tools focus on crawl, index, and traffic to make each of those areas more intuitive to webmasters. Microsoft says its new tools give marketers unprecedented access to browse through the Bing index in order to understand how their sites are included and give them control over the process.

It will be interesting to see how the indexing and real-time features compare to Google’s Caffeine.
