November 19, 2010 – SeeUnity has launched the Conversion Utility for Open Text eDOCS (eDOCS), customized for transferring content, metadata, users and security, from eDOCS 6 to eDOCS 5.

Content Management brought this news to our attention in their article, “SeeUnity unveils conversion utility for eDOCS.” Benefits of the conversion utility is two-fold: it allows users to move their content to a very similar ECM system and, it performs the conversion securely and quickly. The content that can be converted includes folders, network aliases, versions, quick searches, workspaces, related items, audit entries, SQL and Oracle eDOCS databases and eDOCS 6 RM containers.
