March 15, 2011 – The Taxonomy Division of the Special Libraries Association (SLA) wants you to recruit your friends for membership. This is one of those times that you benefit from having so many friends because the division member with the most recruits wins prizes!
Share the news about the Taxonomy Division with your friends and contacts – currently SLA members or not. Share with them the programs, discussions and benefits of being a Taxonomy Division member. Send interested parties to this web site to join the Taxonomy Division.
Be sure to keep track of those you recruited and send their names to the Taxonomy Division’s Chairperson, Hannah Rubin and Membership Chair, Terri Zimmer. Only those individuals who actually join the division will be counted toward your total.
All new registrants will be tracked until June 1st. The division member with the most new recruits will win 1st prize – $75 Amazon gift certificate. If two or more division members achieve the same highest number of new recruits, one of their names will be drawn at random to determine the 1st prize winner. All members who recruit any new members go into a random drawing for the second prize – $50.00 Amazon gift certificate.
