VirtualWorks Group was just launched by a Citrix co-founder, along with a team of techie executives. Their product is an innovative enterprise framework, the Virtual Index Architecture (VIA). This indexes all types of data and virtualizes the content.

In the end, employees are able to retrieve files from any application, location, or device—whether that data is structured or unstructured, resides in the cloud, or is hosted locally.

This interesting piece of news was found on PCMag in their article, “Citrix Co-Founder Launches VirtualWorks to Combat Data Sprawl.” VIA is a pre-integrated, plug-and-play framework that leaves data where it lives with no need for costly system integrations. This makes one of the potential benefits the ability to increase productivity. We can respect the goal of findability with efficiency.
