dishtip allows users to search for specific food dishes and corresponding restaurants. Seems simple, but this information does not exist on any other website. dishtip displays the top 100 dishes across the USA using an intelligent web 3.0, semantic-focused mashup.
PRLog brought this news to our attention in their article, “dishtip Takes Semantic Web To Next Level.” dishtip performs a thorough analysis of millions of web based-reviews, photos and content to provide suggestions for the best dishes, and then filters by various categories like food taste, price and cuisine. The results are customized for the user based on their own filters, i.e. demographics, vegetarian, etc.
This unique use of semantic technology excites me. But that may be the foodie-side of me speaking.
