Amerinet Inc. and Atigeo has joined forced to provide customized healthcare solutions. Amerinet will make Atigeo’s xPatterns solutions available to their members to reduce costs and improve productivity for ICD-10 code compliance.
We found this interesting piece of news on InsuranceNewsNet in their article, “Amerinet and Atigeo Partner to Provide Breakthrough ICD-10 Coding Solutions.” This comes after the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has mandated the transition from the medical coding standard ICD-9 (International Classification of Diseases, 9th Revision) to ICD-10 by October 1, 2013. The transition requires business and systems changes throughout the healthcare industry.
Specializing in automatically simplifying effusive, semantically-rich search tasks, xPatterns enables researchers to submit large queries and instantaneously receive precise results, i.e. findability.

It’s great to hear about a new ICD-10 coding applications since the transition to the new system with almost 1000% more codes is not going to be easy. I’ve found that SpeedECoder (http://www.speedecoder.com) has a good solution, providing both native ICD-10 searching but also including the important GEMs links from the CMS now. It’s a great way to become bilingual in these coding systems.
