Many healthcare professionals are worried that reimbursements will decline drastically after the ICD-10 implementation in 2013. Some are even comparing it to the mortage crisis.

Granted that without proper planning and employee training, reimbursements can be affected with this new coding system. It is five times the amount of codes, so it will be much more extensive and detailed.
