Taxonomy management tools have come a long way in tackling content organization challenges. However there seems to be no consistency in the tools and their approach. This is key as corporate requirements for search and content management have changed and grown for tools that help organizations create, administer, and publish semantic structures.
Digital Journal brought this news to our attention in their article, “Taxonomy Management Tools Replacing Spreadsheets for Enterprise Vocabularies: New Advisory Paper from The Real Story Group.” A recent paper from The Real Story Group evaluated what they considered is five most important taxonomy management vendors in the market and we are honored to have been included in that list. Their paper also identified that customers are looking to replace spreadsheets to manage vocabularies in their enterprises. No big surprises there.
