Hitachi Data Systems has aligned their product and portfolio around a three-tiered strategy that focuses on the cloud. This consists of infrastructure cloud, content cloud and information cloud to provide a single virtualization platform for all data.

Information Week brought this news to our attention in their article, “Hitachi plugs into cloud for new growth opportunities.” The infrastructure cloud will help unify server, storage and networking silos. The content cloud will use intelligent tools to enable data indexing, search, and discovery across data types. The information cloud has the capability to connect data sets and reveal patterns across them. This helps to make sense of unstructured data. With so much data being created and stored, any help with deciphering unstructured data for findability is appreciated.
