TEMIS and Agence France-Presse have announced that they are expanding their strategic partnership to deploy semantic enrichment on Agence France-Presse’s future editorial console.
This interesting news was found on MarketWatch in their article, “Agence France-Presse to Deploy TEMIS Semantic Technology Within its New Editorial System.” Agence France-Presse manages news around the world at a rate of 5,000 stories a day, in a variety of languages. They are required to increase the productivity and consistency of their news annotation process to keep up with the growth of data. To achieve that, Agence France-Presse has launched a new editorial system called Iris that is being rolled out in the second quarter of 2012. TEMIS uses semantic content enrichment solutions to manage the metadata and index the content.
