Upstream Commerce Releases New Tool

Upstream Commerce’s latest tool in its Retail Intelligence Suite is Assortment Intelligence, which allows retailers to track assortment changes at competitors’ websites in real time, and adjust their own product mix accordingly.

MarketWatch brought this news to our attention in their article, “New Cloud-Based Assortment Intelligence Solution from Upstream Commerce Aims To Transform the Way Retailers Merchandise.” This new release is a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution that uses advanced artificial intelligence, semantic analysis, data mining, and image recognition algorithms.

This challenges the traditional approach of relying on personal experience and manual tracking to optimize product offerings. The manual approach is really not practical in today’s competitive markets.
