Birst Inc. has released Birst Visualization Edition, a quick deploy version of its enterprise product. In this new edition, a semantic layer is featured that eliminates the need to write SQL queries or perform data extractions. Information Management brought this news to our attention in their article, “Birst Releases Visualization Edition.” A semantic layer is in the appliance links tables and generates queries “under the covers” for non-SQL experts.

There is also a cloud version available for users. Taking full advantage of the cloud’s power, users will be able to dramatically improve their operational efficiency, productivity, and overall performance.
