Digital Metadata Being Embraced

The Digital Production Partnership (DPP) recently unveiled a new metadata application that enables standardized editorial and technical metadata for digital delivery with completed program files.

This interesting information was found on Televisual in their article, “Digital Production Partnership unveils metadata application.” The DPP will deliver a file-based program with the inclusion of key editorial and technical metadata to ensure a consistent set of information for the processing, review, and scheduling of programs.

The new DPP metadata application provides an easy way to enter and embed the required data into the MXF program files. The DPP aims to reduce confusion and costs through this process, as well as provide accurate metadata with agreed-upon standards.
