Orchestration of metadata is similar to that of a symphony. The ability to see and control the entire production makes a talented maestro very valuable. Metadata orchestration is the ability to see a real-time picture of data through data virtualization and segregation. This could make a maestro out of any organizational leader. To create consolidated intelligences and processes virtually gives users an edge over traditional data warehousing. Digital Journal brought this emerging technology to our attention in their article, “Metadata orchestration might be next generation of web solutions.”

Metadata orchestration combines web services, BPEL, and business process management, and uses such standards as XML, SOAP and WSDL. This futuristic solution supports business intelligence and gives hope for future technological advancements in metadata handling.
