The possibilities and limitations of semantic search are often discussed as more and more enterprises and applications utilize the technology. Research on the subject has grown almost as fast as the technology itself. Semantic search research is often based on large and rich data sets and a combination of techniques.

VocabControl brought this news to our attention in their article, “Semantic Search – Call for Papers for Special Issue on Semantic Search for ASLIB Journal.” The article includes a call for articles on the subject of semantic search for a special issue of ASLIB Proceedings: New Information Perspectives. More specifically, the topics cover the history of semantic search, artificial intelligence, current trend, and an entire list of additional sub-topics. Complete guidelines and submission instructions can be found in the article.

It will be very interesting to read this special issue when it is released.
