Advanced Security Requires Additional Data Storage

Cisco has announced enhancements to its portfolio of safety and security solutions with video surveillance architectures and new IoT enabled solutions that ease management of millions of connected cameras and devices. MarketWatch brought this interesting news to our attention in their article, “Cisco Delivers New Innovations and Enhancements in Scalability for Safety and Security Solutions.”

More and more organizations are looking to deploy additional cameras for security and protection, of not just their data, but also their customers and employees. According to a new report published in the Markets and Markets catalogue, the video surveillance systems and services market is set to reach $36.28 billion by 2018.

Organizations will need not only secure and flexible video surveillance architecture, but also the data storage needed to manage all that footage. Indexing video to allow for fast and easy findability is key. So is selecting a partner that indexes against a solid taxonomy based on years of experience.
