The University of Ghana has launched a Records Management and Archives Policy to provide a framework for ensuring that accurate records of the business activities of the university are created, managed, and maintained effectively. This interesting news came to our attention from Spy Ghana in their article, “University of Ghana introduces Records Management and Archives Policy.”
This new policy establishes clear guidelines for retention of records, which like all good policies contain guidelines for creation and collection, records maintenance and use, and disposition of university records.
Mr Ernest Aryeetey, Vice-Chancellor of the University, who also inaugurated the University Archives Centre, said the non-existence of records management policy in the university since its inception in 1948 triggered the need for the development of the policy.

It is important to choose the right partner in technology, especially when your content is in their hands.
