Improving the Results

EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) and Innovative Interfaces (Innovative) have expanded their partnership designed to improve access to library resources. This will incorporate catalog functionality within the EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) experience. This interesting information came from KnowledgeSpeak in their article, “EBSCO and Innovative Interfaces announce expanded strategic partnership.”

Joint development has more tightly integrated access between EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) and Innovative’s Encore discovery platform.

Improving search results is always important, and organizations are evaluating technologies based on their ability to deliver. With any database project, it is important to remember the value of a solid taxonomy. How the content is classified impacts the findability of your data. Professionals should look for an experienced builder of solid standards-based taxonomies to associate content for appropriate machine-assisted indexing.
