Extensis has released their modular digital asset management (DAM) system, Extensis Portfolio, with promises of transforming the user experience. This interesting news came from Market Wired in their article, “Extensis Releases New Modular Digital Asset Management System.”

Portfolio’s end user experience is supposedly matched by the administrative functionality. Portfolio holds millions of assets in one catalog or several, allowing the solution to be used by multiple departments.

Digital assets are becoming a key part of the data stored and requiring findability. Vendors are working hard to improve the usability of their DAM systems. The end goal is to help users improve creativity, collaboration, communications, and overall workflow.
