Google is planning to build another data center in Clarksville, Tennessee. This will make the eighth data center for the technological giant. This interesting information came to us in The Tennessean and their article, “Google to invest in new Clarksville data center.” With an investment of $600 million for this data center, Google will create about 70 full-time jobs.

For more than a decade, Google has dominated search. As a franchise of that accomplishment, Google is now investing heavily in image recognition. There are current limitations in this type of technology but with the super power of technology focused on it, surely there will be improvements realized soon.

As technology changes, so does how we use said technology. It is rapidly evolving and this can present some challenging demands. The profession itself is going through an irreversible change.
