Metadata Being Used in the War on Terror

Marco Rubio was recently quoted as saying “Metadata alone is not going to solve all the problems, but it is an important piece of a bigger puzzle that allows you to disrupt potential terrorist plots.” CNN Politics brought this interesting information to us in their article, “Rubio defends vote against banning people on watch lists from buying guns.”

Defending his recent Senate vote against barring people on terrorism watch lists from buying firearms, he said that the majority of people on those lists have done nothing wrong. Referring to telephone records from the recent domestic attack in California, he emphasized that those alone would not tell the entire story.

We all know that metadata is the path to locating data. The breadcrumbs that make searches fast, comprehensive, and rewarding.
