Integrity in Partnerships and Data

The Health division of Wolters Kluwer has partnered with HealthCore to provide data normalization services to the California Integrated Data Exchange (Cal INDEX). Business Wire brought this news to our attention in their article, “Health Language Solutions to Drive Semantic Normalization for California Integrated Data Interchange.”

Cal INDEX is an independent nonprofit organization founded through seed funding from Blue Shield of California and Anthem Blue Cross to initially integrate approximately 30 large provider organizations across the state, encompassing approximately 9 million patient records from the health plans’ combined members.

The health language solution will be used in tandem with HealthCore’s first-of-a-kind integrated database to address the complexities and nuances of the data flowing through Cal INDEX.

Understanding data and ensuring data integrity are key to value-based care initiatives. It is important to choose the right partner in technology, especially when your content is in their hands.
