Artificial intelligence (AI) is a word thrown around quite a bit these days. And it is done in a way that assumes there is only one type or presentation of AI instead of the plethora of applications that AI may be or enhance. Maybe this is because AI is really still in its infancy? This interesting topic came to us from DATAVERSITY in their article, “Working Towards Explainable AI.”

Even though the first AI program – Logic Theorist – was presented in 1956, it is still trying to be explained.

Dramatic success in machine learning has led to a plethora of AI applications. However, the effectiveness of these systems is limited by the machine’s current inability to explain their decisions and actions. Opening up what is referred to as the “black box” of AI is important as more and more industries are leaning in.

Data Harmony is Access Innovations’ artificial intelligence suite of tools that leverage explainable AI for efficient, innovative and precise semantic discovery of new and emerging concepts to help find the information you need when you need it.
