“Innovation,” “progress” and “transformation” are all words being used across industries. What do they really mean and how will they change information management? This interesting topic came to us from CIO in their article, “Reimagining technology for the next generation.”

The continuum of digitally enhanced worlds, realities and business models will become a reality faster than most expect and, frankly, are comfortably with. Multiple technologies, from cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) to extended reality (XR), blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), edge technologies and beyond. Digitally enhanced worlds, realities and business models are poised to revolutionize both life and enterprise.

Digital transformation is the integration of digital technology into all areas of a business, fundamentally changing how you operate and deliver value to customers. It’s also a cultural change that requires organizations to continually challenge the status quo, experiment and get comfortable with change – and failure.

Most organizations have little knowledge of how AI systems make the decisions they do, and are not ready. Explainable AI allows users to comprehend and trust the results and output created by machine learning algorithms. “Explainable AI” is used to describe an AI model, its expected impact and potential biases.
