Large language models (LLMs) are a type of artificial intelligence (AI) that can mimic human intelligence. They use statistical models to analyze vast amounts of data, learning the patterns and combinations of words and phrases.

I recently searched “what is the future of LLMs” on perplexity.ai. This statement jumped out at me:

“One potential future for LLMs is the development of more specialized models for specific industries or domains”.

This is from a blog on pangeanic.com, authored by Konstantinos Chatzitheodorou.
